Children, an 11-year-old girl and a 9-year-old boy, were reportedly evacuating with their parents for safety when the floodwaters flooded their home, according to the media.
The youngsters were carried away by the swift water flow as they attempted to cross to a safer location after the rain forced the nearby bridge to overflow and flood the area, according to the news website.
A video of the grieving mother shows her sobbing hysterically as she laments the death of her children.

The military was occasionally seen beating up citizens in social media footage that went viral. The streets of Ashaiman were deserted in another video, and several residents could be seen hiding in their apartments out of terror for the approaching army.
