Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, won almost flawlessly in President Muhammadu Buhari’s voting district.

Many claims that the president does not fully support his party’s candidate have been made. After casting his ballot at the Sarkin Yara polling place in Daura, Katsina State, the 80-year-old openly showed his ballot to the journalists, maybe to put an end to the rumors.

In order to strengthen his connection with Tinubu, who received 523 votes when the results were made public hours after voting closed on Saturday, February 25, 2023, Buhari can now proudly display the outcome of his voting unit.

In the 2019 election, Buhari defeated Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who received three votes, and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), who received zero votes.
