At 7:40 p.m., his remains arrived at Kotoka International Airport’s Terminal 2 VIP area.
Before his remains were removed from a Turkish Airlines plane, a quick ceremony was held.
The late footballer‘s body was received by Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, along with some of the deceased’s family members and GFA officials.
Additionally present were Ghana’s ambassador to Turkey, Francisca Ashietey-Odunton, the deputy minister of sports, Evans Bobie Opoku, and members of the Ghana Fans Union.
