Financial constraints shouldn’t prevent people from accessing high-quality education, according to Dr. Sujith Jayaprakash, the rector of BlueCrest University College Ghana, a technology and fashion institution.
He argued that since education, in whatever form, brought steadiness to life, nothing should prevent anyone from obtaining it.
“We believe that access to quality education should not be limited by financial constraints. Everyone deserves access to quality education,” he said

Consequently, his outfit has put in measures to support brilliant, needy students by reducing tuition fees for this academic year to relieve students and parents of financial burdens considering the current economic crisis.

“The reduction in fees is aimed at supporting brilliant, needy students who may be struggling to afford higher education and this move is part of the college’s ongoing efforts to make education more accessible and inclusive,” he said in an interview with the media.

Dr. Jayaprakash pointed out that the institution had been in operation for the previous 20 years and that it felt strongly the need to support students at a time when the economy was not performing well.

The college expects that by lowering tuition, it will be able to draw even more students who are enthusiastic about these disciplines and want to advance their education.
